Look, I’m really getting tired of being ridiculed and mocked for my beliefs. I refuse to denounce my faith, so please save the effort. I have heard the same argument MANY times; my belief is “irrational/illogical”. You’re absolutely right. I don’t pretend to comprehend everything; And, as far as my spirituality goes, there’s very little that I truly do. That’s why it’s “faith”. It’s blind trust. This does not mean that I am intellectually inferior to you, or that I don’t follow logic. I most certainly agree that we (as a race) are indeed of higher intelligence, (as we have the ability to reason and our comprehension is unparalleled by anything we have found in nature) this does not mean that our brains are without limitation. We are only capable of truly understanding so much, and the concept of logic lies within the threshold of what we understand to be fact. We are still animals. Just because we don’t initially comprehend something, does not make it false. For centuries, the idea the the world was a sphere was considered lunacy, because it was illogical based upon what was (at the time) known to be fact. Please consider not writing something off entirely just because it’s “irrational” or “illogical”… but if you decide to, please don’t ridicule someone because of what they believe. The world doesn’t need more of it from either side; atheist, OR spiritual.
